Conference on Innovation Procurement

The Conference on Innovation Procurement will be held under the Estonian EU presidency on 17th and 18th of October 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia.  The Conference also serves as the 3rd annual Major eafip Event. The conference programme includes: Innovation procurement experiences in Europe EU Member States’ policy and support framework for innovation procurement Economic impact of innovation procurement HORIZON 2020 calls supporting innovation procurements 2017 Procura+ Awards Ceremony on Sustainable and Innovation Procurement The target audience for the two-day conference is policy makers, public procurers and innovators. Its aims are capacity building, experience sharing and networking about major ICT-related innovation procurement initiatives across Europe and to facilitate networking between stakeholders to discuss new ideas, initiatives and funding opportunities. The event is co-organised by the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications (MEAC) and the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT) of the European Commission (EC). Second Major eafip Event on Innovation Procurement

The second major eafip event will take place in the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA) in Athens, Greece on 18th and 19th October 2016. This two-day event targets procurers, policy makers, procurement law firms and businesses, to raise awareness about the most recent outcomes from major PCP/PPI initiatives across Europe, and organise networking between stakeholders to discuss best practice, new ideas, initiatives and current funding opportunities for PCP/PPI. 1st Major eafip Event – Paris

The first major eafip event will take place in the City Hall of Paris on 27th and 28th October 2015. The two-day event targets procurers, policy makers, procurement law firms and businesses, to raise awareness about major PCP/PPI initiatives across Europe and organise networking between stakeholders to discuss new ideas, initiatives and funding opportunities for on PCP/PPI. The agenda includes: presentations on the strategic use of innovation procurement by key cities, regions and countries across Europe; presentations by successful PCP and PPI projects; discussion groups on future funding opportunities; as well as the launch of the eafip Toolkit. On Day 2, EC representatives will present the calls in the framework of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2016-2017 covering EU funding opportunities for PCP and PPI.  There will be various discussion sessions (see agenda below) providing the latest information about how to gain access to the ca. € 130 million budget for innovation procurement projects. In addition, public procurers will have the opportunity to present proposal ideas, discuss with relevant EC officials and network in view of the preparation of these calls.
